A Personal Journey Through Grief

In 2018, my world shattered when I lost my daughter Dakota. The experience left me in a state of primal pain—speechless, frozen, and overwhelmed by the depth of my grief. As a mother, that loss is a pain beyond words, and it became clear to me how deeply trauma embeds itself in the body. Yoga became my lifeline, helping me process the unimaginable. It wasn’t just about movement; it was about learning to breathe again, to feel again, and to begin to care for my body and nervous system in the midst of grief.
